Guru Smt. Lakshmi Sravanthi Modali hails from a musician’s family with her father, grandfather, and paternal ancestors, who are prominent Violinists & and Musicians for ages. With art in blood, she showed interest in the art of Dance and became a child prodigy in Indian Classical Dance Forms of Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, and Odissi Sravanthi started her dance career at the age of 8 and gave her Arrangetram at the age of 9yrs . It shows her dedication, commitment and Guru’s blessings that in less than a year she could perform 3hrs solo performance and applauded by various stalwarts like Sangeeta kalanidhi Nedunuri Krishnamurthy, Mahamahopadhyaya Dr Nookala Chinna Satyanarayana and many more scholars to quote a few. Sravanthi Modali was trained by various eminent Gurus. Smt Akundi Rama Krishna of vizag has given her strong foundation in Bharatanatyam & Kuchipudi. She was then trained to expertise in her dance skills by Kalaimamani Sri S.K. Rajaratnam Pillai (Chennai) in Bharatanatyam, Sri Vempati Chinna Satyam garu & Sri Chandra Ram Murthy in Kuchipudi Smt Pranathi Misra garu in Odissi. Sri Pasumarthy Ramalinga Sastry garu (Hyderabad) has sharpened her dance skills to a perfection in Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi through Solo performances, Ballets etc during her Masters in Performing Arts in Dance. Sravanthi has performed 900+ performances in prestigious Sabha’s, Temples and Organizations in and around the world. In her dance journey, Sravanthi has won many awards, rewards and titles to her credit. “BALA NATYA SIROMANI” , Won State Gold Medal, “NATYA KALA NANDINI”, “VISAKHARATNA” , Best Dancer Award for Successive three years , Ugadi Talent Award, Ugadi Puraskaram and may more to her credit. Guru Sravanthi Modali’s possesses immense knowledge in the history of dance and Indian culture and holds a double Master’s degree in performing arts (Bharatanatyam & Kuchipudi), Diplomas and Certification in Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi. She has trained the kids from the age group 3 yrs. to adults in a professional way for the past 30 years now. She has designed the curriculum for all the age groups in many schools, colleges, and universities. Smt. Lakshmi Sravanthi Modali started her own institution in 2016, "Kalaasravanthi Performing Arts Academy," to promote Indian Classical Dance. She runs her classes in Woodlands and Katy areas.
